Queens, New York native and Rap music veteran Action Bronson has openly professed his love of the New Balance brand over the years and it landed him an official collaboration. The New Balance 990v6 ‘Baklava’ was released online at their own website created just for this release.

Regarding the design, Bronson says, “You can literally break down each color. The bottom — the ocean — water, which makes us up. Then it's the earth, the terra. Then you have another layer of the copper.”

Bronson’s design was inspired by pistachios, baklava and the layers of his life.

As a New York City native, Bronson’s affinity for New Balance stems in part for their comfort. Anyone who lives in the city knows how important good footwear.
