Crumbs, spills, mystery sticky spots. With kids in the house, the mess never takes a day off. The good news is that Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days (Oct. 6–7) is marking down the tools that make quick work of it, and some deals are already live. Here are six deals worth taking.

Bissell Little Green Max Pet Portable Carpet Cleaner

Juice on the couch? Muddy paws on the rug? This compact spot cleaner sprays, scrubs, and suctions stains out of carpet and upholstery. A long hose reaches tight corners, and separate clean and dirty water tanks make refills less of a chore. It's built for pet messes, and kid messes don't stand a chance either.

Ivandar Broom and Dustpan Set

This long-handled dustpan lets you sweep up spills while standing up straight. The broom clips onto it, so the pair stands upright in a closet corner instead of toppling over every time you open the door.

Scotch-Brite Scrub Dots Non-Scratch Sponges

These dotted sponges scrub through dried-on oatmeal and grease without scratching your pans, and the brand says they're made to resist odors. They're cheap, and it's a great way to stock-up while they're on sale.

Bottle Bright Water Bottle Cleaning Tablets

Kids' bottles and tumblers get funky fast, and bottle brushes never quite reach the bottom. Drop in a tablet, add water, let it fizz, and rinse. Per the brand, it lifts stains and odors out of stainless steel bottles with no scrubbing.

Black+Decker Dustbuster QuickClean Cordless Handheld Vacuum

Not every mess is worth hauling out the big vacuum. This cordless handheld is made for quick bursts of cleanup, and its built-in crevice tool pulls crumbs out from between couch cushions. Keep it charged on the counter and grab it the second the cereal hits the floor.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Hand Soap Refill, Lemon Verbena

With little hands getting washed all day (hopefully), soap disappears fast. This big 33-ounce refill tops up the dispensers you already own, so you're buying fewer new plastic bottles, and the lemon verbena scent is a long-time favorite.
