That innocuous bottle of rubbing alcohol sitting at the back of the cupboard has many more uses that you probably knew. So many, in fact, that you might want to buy a bigger bottle!

Nothing is more frustrating than trying to get sticker residue off of something! But rubbing alcohol can help. Saturate the sticker with the alcohol, let it sit for a while and then it should come right off with a gentle wipe.

Extend the lifespan and reduce the stink factor of your sponge by soaking it in a rubbing alcohol bath. Place the sponge in a plastic container and pour in enough rubbing alcohol to cover. Let the sponge soak for an hour, remove it, wring it out and use it as usual.
In a spray bottle, mix 1 cup distilled water, 1 cup rubbing alcohol and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Use your mixture to clean windows and mirrors. Be sure to label your bottle so you can keep track of what’s in it.
You can clean keyboards, computer mice and the like with isopropyl alcohol. Use a lightly alcohol-moistened rag or cotton swab to gently clean your headphones, controllers, tablets and more.
Water can stain microfiber furniture, but rubbing alcohol won’t penetrate the fabric. Spray some alcohol over last night’s ice cream dribbles, and then wipe clean with a white cloth or sponge. Let it dry and then brush the spot in a circular motion with a soft-bristled brush to fluff up the pile.

Use isopropyl alcohol to clean your makeup brushes. If left uncared-for, those brushes can get quite full of Pink 03, your favorite powdered blusher. Pour some rubbing alcohol into a small cup; swirl your brushes around in the liquid to release all the color. Rinse the brushes with lukewarm water and then lay them on a towel to dry.
Believe it or not, rubbing alcohol will remove ink stains—even permanent ink! If you get ballpoint or gel ink on a garment, soak the area in isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes, then blot up the stain with a paper towel. Launder the item as usual, and repeat the alcohol treatment if necessary.
