With no roof or windshield, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss is a wild ride. Only 75 exist, honoring the racing legend. One of these rare beauties recently sold in Switzerland for a cool $2.9 million.

The all-carbon fiber supercar was a shining example of performance and weight reduction, and combined with it’s supercharged 650hp engine, rockets the vehicle from 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and tops out at 220mph.

In another unique feature the SLR has it’s exhaust pipes are side mounted forward of the driver, resulting in a thunderous symphony that is like none other.

The striking interior was created by Dutch designer Sarkis Benliyan.

The SLR also features an air brake, albeit not the kind you might be thinking of. When decelerating from greater than 75mph, it’s rear spoiler rises to create additional downforce, increasing the braking grip applied by the tires.
