Looking at the clock has become a necessity — a chore we must adhere to in order to be on time. Fortunately, Studio Ayaskan has reimagined the traditional clock to act more as a meditative and symbolic object.
This clock creates ripples in the sand for the first 12 hours of the day with small spokes on the single moving hand and when it reaches noon, it begins to erase the ripples by switching over to a flat side. This metaphor demonstrates how active we are for 12 hours of the day and passive for the remainder.
