Nearly 15,000 people died in Japan in the 2011 tsunami that was triggered by a massive underwater earthquake. Even a full decade later, destruction from the catastrophe is still evident in this series from talented photographer Janine Pendleton.

Time has passed, but the city still bears the open wounds from the fateful day.
