DALLAS — Across the WNBA, all eyes are on the Dallas Wings.

The league released Tuesday the results of its 2026 general manager survey, which revealed high regard for the Wings and star guard Paige Bueckers.

Bueckers, the WNBA Rookie of the Year and the No. 1 overall pick in 2025, was picked as the first player GMs would sign if they started a team today. The Wings were chosen as the most improved team and the most fun to watch.

Dallas went 2-0 in the preseason and will open the 2026 regular season Saturday on the road against the Indiana Fever.

After finishing 10-34 last year, the Wings built around Bueckers, who averaged 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in her rookie season. In free agency, Dallas re-signed All-Star guard Arike Ogunbowale and picked up a pair of former Minnesota Lynx forwards: Jessica Shepard and reigning co-defensive player of the year Alanna Smith. The Wings selected UConn star Azzi Fudd with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft.

Dallas, which also returned standouts Aziaha James, Maddy Siegrist and Awak Kuier, brought on new head coach Jose Fernandez in October.
