Production paused on Matt Reeves' 'Batman Part II'

Production has been paused on director Matt Reeves' "Batman Part II," starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Production has been paused on director Matt Reeves' Batman Part II, starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

"Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter," Warner Bros. said in a statement Monday.

"Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon."

No details have been reported about what kind of issue Reeves is dealing with.

Reeves began filming the movie in London in June. He wrote the script with Mattson Tomlin.

The movie is set for theatrical release Feb. 18, 2028.

The cast will also include Scarlett Johansson, Colin Farrell, Sebastian Stan, Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright.
