DALLAS — President Donald Trump will attend the first regular season meet up between No. 1 Texas and No. 14 Tennessee on Saturday, the White House told multiple news outlets Wednesday.

The game kicks off at noon ET at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville as the marquee game following ESPN's "College Gameday." Both teams dubbed UT in their respective states are 3-0 this season, with Tennessee winning all of its games by at least 21 points and Texas pulling off an impressive 20-point comeback against Ohio State on Sept. 12.

The game Saturday will be the first time Texas and Tennessee have met since the 1969 Cotton Bowl, where Texas won 36-13.

Trump won't be the first politician on the sidelines of a Texas game this season, with Ted Cruz in attendance for the team's game against Ohio State. Cruz even made an appearance on "College Gameday" to talk about the Protect College Sports Act, which the Senate advanced last week. Cruz was booed throughout his nine-minute interview on the show.

Trump has signed two executive orders regarding college sports during his second term, addressing revenue sharing, transfers and preserving scholarships.

Trump last attended the 2025 College Football Playoff national championship where Indiana beat Miami 27-21 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. He's also attended LSU-Alabama, Iowa-Iowa State and multiple Army-Navy games during his two terms as president.
