Nike’s Self-Lacing Sneaker Gets an Upgrade

Nike’s latest iteration of its innovative self-lacing basketball shoe is even more awe-inspiring than the original. The Memphis Grizzlies’ standout rookie Ja Morant debuted the sneaker and it released to the public on February 16, 2020.

Continue on for photos and more information on the innovative Nike Adapt BB 2.0.

Nike’s designers added Air Zoom Turbo technology to the forfeit area of the shoe for a bouncier court feel.

Changes to the power-lacing engine’s placement led to a shoe with a smoother heel-to-toe transition.

The Adapt BB 2.0 development team used stretchier materials and a new upper design to make the shoe easier to put on.

The external design of the shoe is more detailed than its predecessor. From the larger swoosh to the deliberate material choices, the Adapt BB 2.0 is a better blend of cutting edge-tech and stunning design.

Memphis Grizzlies' guard Ja Morant and Las Vegas Aces forward A'ja Wilson debited he shoe in January 2020, months before their official release. For more information on all of Nike’s new releases, visit the website below.
