"Las Azules," aka "Women in Blue," a crime drama series about Mexico's first female police force, will return for a second season on Apple TV.

July 21 (UPI) -- Apple TV is teasing Las Azules Season 2.

The streaming service shared a trailer for the season Tuesday featuring Bárbara Mori.

Las Azules, aka Women in Blue, is a Spanish-language crime drama created by Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi. The series follows the women of Mexico's first female police force.

In Season 2, María (Mori) and the Blues search for a "methodical" killer whose victims include a person with a connection to the student massacre of 1968.

"Someone is delivering justice straight to the police's door, and the Azules are the department's last hope of stopping the killer. As María, Valentina (Natalia Téllez), Gabina (Amorita Rasgado) and Ángeles (Ximena Sariñana) fight battles both inside and outside the precinct, buried truths rise to the surface and they're forced to confront an uncomfortable question: in a system plagued with corruption, what is the cost of fighting for their ideals?" an official synopsis reads.

Miguel Rodarte, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Christian Tappan, Horacio García Rojas and Bruno Bichir also star.

Las Azules originally debuted in 2024. Season 2 will premiere Aug. 12 on Apple TV.
