Sept. 25 (UPI) -- A record-breaking roller coaster called the Tormenta Rampaging Run at Six Flags Over Texas will debut next year and set six records for roller coasters, the theme park announced on Thursday.
The new roller coaster is the tallest, fastest, longest and the first "giga-dive coaster" that is more than 300 feet tall, according to Six Flags Over Texas.
Roller coaster enthusiasts and others will be able to enjoy the ride starting in 2026.
"This one-of-a-kind thrill ride will trample six monumental world records," officials for the amusement park said in a news release on Thursday.
"Six Flags Over Texas has always been a leader in creating unforgettable experiences, and with Tormenta Rampaging Run, we are soaring to new heights," said Mark Boyer, vice president and park manager for Six Flags Over Texas.
"This coaster is a true testament to our commitment to providing world-class thrills and innovation," he added. "We can't wait to bring this historic ride to life in 2026."
The roller coaster's 309-foot maximum elevation will be a world record, and its descent will carry passengers at 87 mph, which will make it the world's fastest, according to Six Flags Over Texas.
The dive coaster also will be the world's longest at 4,199 feet and will produce several weightless moments for passengers, along with sharp turns and drops that are intended to replicate the running of the bulls.
The ride will have the world's tallest vertical loop of 179 feet and the highest Immelmann inversion that carries passengers while upside down and 218 feet in the air.
Its 95-degree beyond-vertical drop also will establish a new record, while riders plunge 285 feet.
The giga-dive coaster is based on the famous annual running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.
It will carry passengers to a maximum height of 309 feet at the ride's start, followed by a record-breaking 95-degree descent that leads into several sharp turns and other drops.
The Tormenta Rampaging Run also will help Six Flags Over Texas mark its 65th anniversary next year.
