This mansion in Illinois has supposedly been haunted for decades. Back in the 1940s, boarders claimed to hear children playing, even when no children lived there. Years later, after the house had become dilapidated, passersby would still see ghostly faces in the windows.

Samuel Peel and his daughter Minnie Belle, the original residents, allegedly haunt this gorgeous home in Arkansas. While they don’t seem to be violent ghosts, Minnie Belle apparently plays the piano on occasion.

This massive mansion in Illinois recently sold for upwards of $9 million, although who would buy it is beyond us. The original owner, Charles Schweppe, was found dead in the home in 1941, leaving behind a note that simply said, “I’ve been awake all night. It’s terrible.” People say old Charles still haunts the estate alongside some servants.
