Following the success of his first stage-to-film transitions, “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” and “Madea’s Family Reunion,” Tyler Perry, had this marvelous 35,000-square-foot mansion built on 17 acres of land. The accomplished film director, actor and founder of Tyler Perry Studios combined multiple parcels of land he’d purchased to build this massive house and spent a reported $40 million doing so.
The fully private residence sits atop a hill in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and features every type of luxury amenity you could think of. Topping off the long list of amenities is a 70,000-gallon infinity-edge swimming pool, a lighted tennis court, a fully equipped gym, a theater, a wine cellar and a guest house.
Perry initially sold the expansive residence back in 2016 to televangelist David Turner for $17.5 million — a record for the most expensive home in the Atlanta area at the time. After adding a few upgrades like the infinity pool and theater, Turner listed the home again in 2018 for a sky-high $25 million — enough to break its previous record.
For the folks with deep pockets looking for endless amounts of land, luxury hotel-like amenities and complete privacy, this Palace of Versailles-styled abode may be the one for you. Continue to view images of the Atlanta area’s most expensive home.
