Let these Relics of the 90s Guide You Down Memory Lane

One of the best features of the Internet is its existence as a virtual time capsule for everything. Since it gives us the ability to look back in time at the way we lived life during the 1990s, we figured it would be fun to gather the most nostalgia-invoking items out there.

Continue on for an entertaining blast to the past in the form of everyday items you no longer see around the house or in stores.

You used to be able to take the ball out of a computer mouse to stop it from working.

Movie time!

At the end of the day, doing this meant school was officially over.

Removable radio faces used to be on the cutting-edge of auto security features.

Everyone's made a mix CD before.

Word on the street was that the blue side could erase pen.

Did your heart skip a beat when you saw this grade book?

Looking at the pioneering Motorola RAZR in 2020, it didn't even do that much.

Entertainment centers with glass doors, stacked with VHS tapes and Nintendo cartridges were a common sight during the 90s.

Old Windows screensavers.

Back in the day, cars used to have cigarette lighters and ashtrays for rear passengers. You'd be hard-pressed to find this on anything made after 2000.

These pencil sharpeners were famous for sharpening one side of the lead, but not the other.

Using a mechanical pencil wasn't always the better option. Lose one of the cartridges inside and your pencil is useless.

You couldn't watch super-long movies without popping in the second VHS. "Titanic" is the most famous movie to fit that description.

No book cover? No problem. A paper grocery store bag always worked to protect school books.

See-through electronics were all the rage.

Unless you didn't have a digital clock at home at all, this specific alarm clock was sitting on a dresser in your house.

The dreaded overhead projector.

A crisp $20 bill would go a long way at the highly-anticipated book fair.

This crafty device was the original fidget spinner.

Classic grade school ice cream cups.
