At the age of 14, Zack MacLeod Pinsent ceremoniously burned his last pair of jeans in favor of a wardrobe full of historic clothing. His love for “period clothing,” as he puts it, grew into a passion and eventually a career. The talented, young tailor taught himself to make all the clothes he wears (including underwear) and used his skills to start a tailoring business that he operates out of Brighton, East Sussex.
Zack’s penchant for historic clothing is well documented on his Instagram page where he often shows of work he does for himself and others. He often posts photos of the outfits he creates and they’re all styled with inspiration from different time periods between the 1660s and the 1920s. He even resorts to using historic materials and methods for the most authentic look and feel possible.

It’s a huge confidence builder.” Committed to his vision, Zack holds his reputation as not only an amazingly talented period clothing seamster but a top-notch tailor in general.
