Eastside golf’s Change 1961 collection references the PGA’s decision to lift its "Caucasian-only clause.” Alfred “Tup” Holmes sued the city of Atlanta in 1955 for barring Black people from its golf courses, which eventually paved the way for players like Lee Elder (the first Black man to play the Masters), Tiger Woods and even NBA superstar, Steph Curry.

Eastside Golf dubs itself, “a lifestyle brand developed to raise awareness about golf among youth and non golfers.” Former Morehouse College golf standouts Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl A. Cooper started the golf lifestyle brand in 2019 with a mission to promote diversity and inspire culture.
Eastside Golf is focused on making the game more appealing to a younger audience. The founders believe that the morals and values presented through the game of golf can have a positive influence on anyone’s life. And of course, golf is that much more fun when you’re doing it in style.
