The Dodge Challenger T/A, named for the old Trans-Am racer of the ’70s, is a perfect combination of the old and the new. The modern V8 pony car comes in a trio of different styles.
All three Challenger models have a similar look. A center-mounted hood scoop, old-school hood pins and performance exhaust help to establish the 1970’s retro look, while LED-illuminated badges and satin black finishes give this reimagined classic a modern edge.
What really differentiates each of the T/As, however, is what’s under the hood. Both the T/A and T/A Plus feature a V8 engine capable of 375 horsepower. The 392 model, capable of a 485 horsepower output, houses a huge 6.4-liter V8 engine. All Dodge Challenger T/A models come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, or an 8-speed automatic available as an option. Also available as an option, is the Super Track Pack, which includes high-perfomance shocks, tires and brakes, a lowered suspension, and black aluminum Mopar wheels. On the interior, the T/A Plus comes with heated and ventilated leather buckets, a leather-wrapped power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and Uconnect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for music and phone calls. The 392 model offers all of that in addition to special decals and a number of other performance upgrades like wider wheels and six-piston Brembo front calipers.
