Kat Von D's $15 Million House Hits the Market

Tattoo artist Kat Von D put her Los Angeles house on the market in January 2022 for a cool $15 million. Keep scrolling to check out this unique gothic-style mansion and learn more about the history of the home.

This house was built in the 1890s by Isaac Newton Van Nuys. If the name sounds familiar, it's because he was the founder of the Van Nuys neighborhood in the Los Angeles area.

The house was featured in the 2003 remake of the film, “Cheaper By the Dozen.” However, it was given an extensive makeover when purchased by Von D in 2016.

Von D purchased the home for $6.5 million and spent an undisclosed amount to completely transform it into a gothic palace.

There are 13 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a luxury kitchen and other astounding features spread across over 12,500 square feet.

The home features unique touches including hand-carved walls, a hidden speakeasy, and stained glass windows.

Von D's pad also has a library, a French-style ballroom, a sitting room, a den and a separate two-bedroom apartment above the garage.

The second floor of the three-story home boasts five bedrooms, each lavishly and carefully decorated.

The home has plenty of space for families and guests, including multiple suites with stunning and ornate bathrooms.

No detail was overlooked in the renovation of the home, which Von D is selling for $15 million -- more than double what she paid just six years ago.

Standing out among the perfectly manicured lawn and landscaping is the most interesting part of the property: a startlingly beautiful blood-red swimming pool.
