Comedian John Mulaney will kick off 2027 with nine shows in nine days in New York City, capping off the streak at Madison Square Garden.

July 28 (UPI) -- Comedian John Mulaney said Tuesday he will kick off 2027 with nine shows in nine days in New York City, capping off the streak of performances at Madison Square Garden.

"Instead of doing one show in New York City, or even three shows in New York City, for my tour, I'm going to do a very special run," Mulaney announced on NBC's Today show. "Nine different iconic New York City venues in nine nights."

"Mulaney Takes Manhattan" will follow his July 11 show at Chicago's Wrigley Field, when he became the first comedian to headline the legendary ballpark.

The shows, which will start Jan. 7 and run through Jan. 15, will be held at smaller Manhattan venues like the Comedy Cellar and the Bowery Ballroom before stops at Broadway's Music Box Theater as well as the Beacon Theatre. Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall will follow before the last show at MSG.

"This is very, very cool, I must say. I'm doing something very cool, and I'm a very cool person," Mulaney said. "This is really a great way to do the intimate small places. I love playing here, building up to Madison Square Garden, doing Radio City (Music Hall). I filmed a special at Radio City, to go back there. It's going to be really cool."
