The Fun Side of Auto Insurance Shopping

Looking for the right auto insurance deal can be a pain — mostly because it’s not a fun or exciting task. A few companies that agree with that sentiment have decided to connect with potential customers through entertaining TV spots. Any of these laugh-out-loud clips are sure to leave you in a good mood before looking for insurance quotes.

Farmers Insurance - Hall of Claims: Fender-Biter

This care-free kitty bathing itself on top of its owner’s car is completely unaware of all the fender-biting and door-scratching dogs down below. Farmers Insurance provides a humorous look at its auto coverage for body damage.

Geico - Hump Day

A pioneer of the funny auto insurance commercial, Geico regularly produces hilarious and engaging TV spots. This classic commercial features a talking camel excited about Wednesday, of course, his favorite day of the week.

Liberty Mutual - Fitness Junkie

Liberty Mutual insurance created an ad to highlight how customizable their plans are. Just like a high-end bike, you only pay for the coverage you actually need, the ad says. Too bad those impressive calf muscles aren’t eligible for coverage.

Nationwide - The Jingle Sessions

Ever heard the phrase, “Think outside the box?” Well, Nationwide insurance took that approach when looking for a jingle for its insurance, banking and retirement services. Former NFL championship-winning quarterback Peyton Manning lends a helping hand as the jingle coach for country music star, Brad Paisley.

Progressive - Flo

Appearing in over 100 commercials, Progressive’s upbeat and friendly store employee Flo is one of the most recognizable characters in advertising. Often helping different customers to make the right insurance choices, Flo and her fun-loving personality have made for some pretty funny ads over the course of the last 10 years.

State Farm - Houston Rockets

State Farm insurance makes a big deal out of its agents always being there for its customers. Houston Rockets’ point guard Chris Paul frequently calls on his State Farm agent Cole when he’s in a bind. In this ad, Chris is joined by his teammates James Harden and Trevor Ariza, when Cole and Chris stop to give Trevor and James some roadside assistance. Everyone except for James seems to be all-in on the Backstreet Boys sing-along that ensues.
