The viral sensation “Underlook” started with an album of cat photos shot from below and blossomed into a handful of other ideas. As an ode to the project’s first album, “Under-Cats,” photographer and founder Andrius Burba remixed his original idea and used colored backgrounds when capturing his next set of feline images.

On his website, Burba explains the original reasoning for using black backgrounds. “Black lets viewers concentrate on the animal (or a bicycle) without any distractions. But despite that, we did want to experiment with some colors."
