One of America’s biggest pastimes happens to be the discussion of pop culture. The Internet and social media brought along a level of access to celebrities that had never existed, and now the most successful celebrities are quite often the most visible.

Former graphic design online community Worth1000 hosted a long-running contest where the objective was to seamlessly blend classic art and current celebrities. The Worth1000, “Modern Renaissance” contest yielded plenty of realistic recreations.
