When she was a young girl, the woman behind the big sunglasses and the silky smooth vocals learned to sing, and play the guitar, bass, drums and piano — and do all of those things very well. Before the age of 14, she’d go on to perform on “The View,” the “Today Show” and earn a spot in Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing” competition. These days, Gabi Wilson performs under the pseudonym H.E.R., which stands for, Having Everything Revealed. She created this mysterious persona in order to keep all attention on her music. Since releasing her first EPs, “H.E.R. Volume 1” and “H.E.R. Volume 2” in 2016, she’s gone on to release another successful pair of EPs and score headlining and curation duties for the inaugural “Lights On” festival, all while impressing just about every high-status musician that hears her sing and play.
After winning her first Grammy award for best R&B album and performance of 2018, H.E.R. shows no signs of slowing down. Take a look under the veil of secrecy at one of the music industry’s most talented young musicians. For more of the young songstress, pay a visit to her Instagram page, @hermusicofficial.
