U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes on Wednesday ordered Trump administration lawyers to attend another meeting to address Donald Trump's comments Tuesday.

Oct. 28 (UPI) -- U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes ordered Trump administration lawyers to attend another meeting on Friday or Monday to address President Donald Trump's assertion Tuesday that construction on the East Potomac Golf Links will continue despite her order to halt construction.
Reyes on Wednesday ordered Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward to court Friday or Monday to clarify that his previous statements to her that there were no plans to close the course are still accurate.
On Tuesday, after Reyes released her decision about the course, Trump took to Truth Social to say that the course will close Nov. 15 as planned for renovation and that Reyes doesn't have the constitutional authority to shut it down.
"We are closing the East Potomac Golf Course Site as scheduled" on Nov. 15, and Reyes "does not have the Constitutional Right to 'ask for or receive notices,' which are time-consuming, unnecessary, expensive, and unconstitutional," the president's post said.
Reyes said Trump's post is the opposite of testimony by Department of Justice lawyers who told her they were unaware of any future plans for any new tree removal before the project starts.
The plan would also remove walking and biking trails at East Potomac Park, and it's unclear how affordable the course will be for golfers after it becomes what Trump calls a "World Championship Public Facility."
Reyes released a 70-page ruling Tuesday, criticizing the administration over its plans for the historic golf course in Washington, D.C., and concluded the administration likely violated environmental laws when it tore down hundreds of trees.
"Rarely, if ever, has the United States Department of Justice urged a federal court not to believe the sitting President," Reyes wrote. "Not to believe him that a cabinet secretary has 'developed' a federal land project. Not to believe him that the secretary's agency will destroy a historic golf course already on the land. Not to believe him that 'Restoration work' will begin 'IMMEDIATELY!' Not to believe him that the course 'will be closed' for over a year. Not to believe what the President has repeatedly told the American public. And yet, here we are."
