Sources told AS Colombia, El Colombiano and Fabrizio Romano on Thursday that Rodriguez reached a verbal agreement with the Colombian Primera A club.

Rodriguez appeared in six games for Minnesota United earlier this year. He split with the MLS club before joining Colombia for this summer's 2026 World Cup.

The 35-year-old, who made his senior debut in 2006 at Colombian club Envigado, also played in Argentina, Portugal, Monaco, Spain, Germany, England, Qatar, Greece, Brazil and Mexico.

Rodriguez totaled 31 goals and 41 assists over 124 appearances for the Colombian national team. He did not register a goal or assist in 338 minutes for the Colombians at the 2026 World Cup.

Nacional (4-1-0) sit in fourth place in Primera A. El Verde will host Rionegro Aguilas in another league match at 5:05 p.m. EDT Sunday in Medellin.
