"The Wanted Man," a new crime drama series from "Lupin" creator George Kay and starring "House" actor Hugh Laurie, is coming to Apple TV+.

Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Apple TV is teasing the release of the new series The Wanted Man.

The streaming service shared first-look photos and a January 2027 premiere date for the show Thursday.

The Wanted Man is a crime drama from Lupin creator George Kay and starring House actor Hugh Laurie.

The series follows Felix Carmichael (Laurie), an organized crime boss who is betrayed from the inside and sent to "the notorious Staplehurst prison," where he's "forced to remember his own brutality to fight for survival."

"With his family, firm and fortune at stake, Felix resolves to do the unthinkable: escape," an official synopsis reads.

Thandiwe Newton, Fionn Whitehead, Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, Elliott Heffernan and Stephen Dillane also star.

The Wanted Man will have a two-episode premiere Jan. 6, 2027, on Apple TV, followed by new episodes weekly on Wednesdays.

Kay also created the new HBO divorce drama War, starring Sienna Miller and Dominic West. That series
