There are few ocean creatures as elegant and majestic as the manta ray. Manta rays can reach widths up to 29 feet and are typically black and white. Photographer Kristian Laine was diving near the Great Barrier Reef in Australia when he noticed something unusual.
Laine thought his equipment was malfunctioning but, later discovered he had stumbled across something extraordinary. Inspector Clouseau, endearingly nicknamed after “The Pink Panther,” is the only pink manta ray known to man.
