The Tech-Infused $15 Million Superyacht

The award-winning Adastra launched in 2012 is an effort by Shuttleworth Design to create an upscale and comfortable yacht that fit the needs of an experienced (and extravagant) voyaging family. The result was a jaw-dropping display of modern design — an innovative 42.5-meter superyacht that features cutting-edge technology and a striking, futuristic look.

As the original owner and his family bring their voyaging days to an end, the spec’d out superyacht isn’t getting much use anymore and in July 2019, it was listed for sale. Check out photos of this gorgeous, one-of-a-kind vessel, built for the adventurous and experienced sailor.

Touted as the superyacht of the future, the Adastra features a streamlined look and high-tech features that allow it to travel at high speeds across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It sports an iPad control panel and aerodynamic design perfect for speedy and fuel-efficient travel.

Adastra’s interior and exterior were designed for comfortable lounging. The interior features a luxurious saloon area with panoramic views, while the exterior’s bar and dining area are perfect for relaxing.

For those interested, the Adastra superyacht is up for purchase for a showboat-worthy $15 million. Billionaire shipping magnate Anto Marden was the original owner of Adastra and made his way to many different destinations along with his family. Now that his family’s voyaging days have come to an end, he decided it was time for someone else to experience the majesty of this marvelous vessel. Although the price is steep, the fuel-efficiency and creative design would make this yacht totally worth the money.
