A Georgian estate down a private drive in Montecito, California has changed hands again, this time out of Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo's names. It was built for an actor, lived in by a supermodel and a rock star and comes with a chicken coop parked near the tennis court. Keep swiping to see more.

Before Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo ever moved in, this beautiful home had already passed through some notable hands. This is a house with a backstory, and its list of former owners reads like a small slice of Hollywood.
Actor Rob Lowe had the estate built in 2009 and reportedly nicknamed it Oakview. He wanted a home that reflected+9-*+9- his Virginia roots, so the whole thing was designed to carry a bit of an East Coast feel.
Architect Don Nulty gave the property its Georgian look, spread across roughly 13,362 square feet on 3.41 acres of land. It sits down a long private drive with panoramic ocean and mountain views.
Lowe listed the place in 2018, and private equity executive Jack McGinley and his wife, Julie, bought it in 2020 for $45.5 million. Levine and Prinsloo picked it up from the McGinleys in March 2022 for $52 million before selling in October 2025.
Beyond the main residence, that tally includes a two-bedroom guest house around 900 square feet and a pool house near 937 square feet.
Public records put the recorded closing price at $57.3 million, which came in about $7.7 million under the $65 million ask from the July 2025 listing. Agent sources told TMZ and The Real Deal the deal closed at $60 million — an industry figure that runs a bit higher than what the records show.
Montecito, California, is a small, celebrity-dense town tucked between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific, about two hours up the coast from Los Angeles. Neighbors have included Oprah Winfrey, Harry Duke of Sussex and Meghan Duchess of Sussex, Kevin Costner and Ariana Grande, and the area's draw is the privacy.
For now the compound moves on to whoever's next, another name to add to a deed that already carries a few. Whoever it is inherits the views, the koi and more than a decade of Picacho Lane history.
