Iconic luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton celebrated 160 years of success and artistic collaborations in style with a colorful, immersive exhibit in Beverly Hills, California.
Spanning two floors and 10 rooms, the French fashion house’s exhibit features 180 items from its archives, including art deco perfume bottles and collaborations with designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawakubo and Cindy Sherman.
At the start of the exhibit, you’ll be met by a portrait of good ol’ Louis himself, painted by American artist Alex Katz.
The grand staircase guides you up into the gold and rose gold explosion on the second floor.
Some of the themes explored within the exhibit include the Parisian company’s origins, the history behind the monogrammed collection, art on silk, art meets fashion and Louis Vuitton on the red carpet.
An ode to the signature monogrammed holdall, this digital wall celebrates one of Louis Vuitton’s most recognizable items.
The neon-hued wall features designs from the brand’s more recent ArtyCapucines Collection. Six contemporary artists were asked to reimagine the classic Capucines bag and the results are on display. If you’re hoping to acquire one, it could be quite difficult as only 300 bags of each design have been made.
The vibrant colors are enhanced by three custom Instagram filters designed specifically for the exhibit. Visitors can scan a barcode that will give them access to the novel technicolored filters.
One of the rooms holds a collection of Louis Vuitton dresses worn by celebrities at various high-profile events like the Oscars and the Met Gala.
