To honor the 100th year anniversary of the popular Japanese drink Calpis, Tokyo-based French artist Emmanuelle Moureaux put together an impressive art installation she titled “Universe of Words.”
Using 140,000 hiraganas, an alphabet consisting of 46 different characters, Moureaux hung the swaying pieces in three-dimensional grids.

The exhibit uses the full spectrum of color to create thoughtful spaces.
Moureaux drew inspiration from the Japanese star festival Tanabata. During the celebration, people write their hopes and dreams on colored strips of paper and then hang them from bamboo branches.
