James Franco’s Former $6.25 Million L.A. Manor

This extravagant property has changed hands among Hollywood legends several times. Actor James Franco purchased the property in 2006 for $2.3 million and then sold it in 2010 for $3.3 million. Previously, “Hunger Games” director Francis Lawrence owned the 1920s home. After several upgrades and renovations, the house hit the market in 2019 for $6.25 million.

Sitting squarely across the street from Chateau Marmont, a hotel that’s seen the likes of F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Belushi and Lindsay Lohan, this home is in a prime location for spotting your favorite stars.

Continue on for photos of this funky modern property that’s fit for a Hollywood superstar.

The house has four bedrooms and spans more than 5,000 square feet. It was built during Hollywood's Golden Age in 1923.

The 1970s-inspired living room features a wall of windows that offset the dark flooring.

Separating the open plan kitchen and dining room is a classy mesh curtain.

The home features soft wood furnishings throughout that counteract the harsh lines.

The outdoor area comes fitted with a sunken swimming pool, dining area and a rooftop deck.
