For 15 years, the online graphic design community Worth1000 hosted an ongoing contest called, “Modern Renaissance.” The rules were simple — edit a well-known celebrity’s face into a piece of classic art. Designers from all over the world participated in this challenge of creativity. The contest has been shared on a number of websites and blogs over the years, and some of these images look as if they were the original paintings.
Continue on for some of the most well-executed portraits from this long-running, photo editing competition. Part of a series.
