Ja Morant is Nike and Gen Z’s first signature athlete – his popularity is off the charts. Every version of the shoe features heavy input from Ja, whether it was him deciding the color combinations or adding small accents like quotes and tributes to family.

“Scratch”

The Ja 1 is one of Nike’s more affordable signature shoes at $110, but it does not sacrifice performance. The low top sneaker features Zoom Air cushioning for a smooth and responsive ride, and unique reinforcements to lock down the foot and provide extra support during high jumps and hard landings.

Nike worked with Morant to create the signature light-blue hue featured on the Day One colorway. It’s a symbol for the blue collar mentality that Morant says fuels everything he does.
