Nintendo announced a remake of classic title "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" and more during its Direct presentation on Tuesday.

June 9 (UPI) -- Nintendo announced a remake of classic title The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time during its Direct presentation on Tuesday.

Nintendo released a short teaser trailer for the game that features a narrator describing the world of Hyrule.

The game's hero Link is then shown sleeping before the trailer ends.

"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be reborn on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026," the company says.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was originally released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 console. It is one of the most beloved video games of all time.

The Direct presentation also had a surprise appearance from Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts IV. The game has been rarely seen since its announcement in 2022.

The Kingdom Hearts IV trailer features an older-looking Sora battling enemies inside of a realistic looking city using his signature keyblade weapon. Sora's partners Donald and Goofy of Disney fame make a brief appearance.

Nintendo said Kingdom Hearts IV is coming to Switch 2 on the same day as other platforms; however, no release date was announced. Kingdom Hearts, which first began in 2002, brings together the worlds of Disney and Final Fantasy.
