When Lee Shulman impulsively bought a box of slides and chose to get them developed, he had no idea it would ignite a lifelong passion. After initially purchasing his first box of vintage slides, he realized how much he loved looking back on moments frozen in time and continued buying up more slides and getting them developed, and soon began The Anonymous Project.
The aim, he says, is not to find the owners, but rather catalog a diary of that era — primarily the 1950s and 1960s when amateur photography was just getting started. It was at this time that cameras became cheaper and more readily available to the general public, allowing them, for the first time, to document their individual daily lives.

We guess 1957 was the year for quality seeds and seemingly massive gourds.
Hopefully, this isn’t her birthday because this girl doesn’t look terribly pleased with her cake — taken in 1971.
These siblings in 1961 show that you always have a built-in friend with a brother or sister.
It seems that pet-shaming isn’t anything new.
It’s the U.K. in the summer of 1971 — what better way to spend a day than a leisurely bike ride through the countryside.
These three are on the go and where they managed to find real mugs and a spot of tea in the middle of nowhere is a secret we guess the Brits won’t share.
I mean, no one said tissue paper on your head was a bad idea.
