Reebok Basketball’s Star

Angel Reese became Reebok’s first NIL signing back in 2023, shortly after leading LSU basketball to its first NCAA basketball national championship win over Iowa. As the 2023 tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, she garnered loads of attention and President of Reebok Basketball Shaquille O’Neal prioritized singing her as his first athlete.

High Demand

As the 2025 WNBA season progressed, Angel's popularity was steady gaining traction, which led to the folks in charge at Reebok making a bold move — to release the sneaker a year early and to unveil it on the cover of NBA 2k26. Foregoing the usual 18-24 months signature sneaker development process, Reebok and Reese launched the sneaker in under one year.

Designed by Michael Hesterberg

Designer Michael Hesterberg drew inspiration from Reebok’s Mobius line from the 90s, which included classics like the Shaq’s Shaqnosis, Nick Van Exel’s Blast and Shawn Kemp’s Hurrikaze. His hope for Angel’s shoe was to create something with a bigger personality than any shoe out there to match her aura.

Inspired Excellence

“I wanted to design a basketball shoe that elevates performance, innovation, style, and creative expression, all at once. Reebok and I built something that’s true to who I am, and I hope it pushes others to stand in their power too.”

Reebok Performance Tech

Reebok’s patented Energy Return System (ERS™) creates a stable base for this performance basketball shoe. It has strategically placed nitrogen-infused SuperFloat™ foam pods in the shoe’s heel and forefoot for optimal impact protection and bounce. Alongside a strong TPU heel cup and the intricate exoskeleton upper, the Angel Reese 1 is a top performer, especially for players don’t take plays off. This shoe is fine-tuned for powerful post players with elite speed, just like Angel

Colorways

Initially, the Reebok Angel Reese 1 launched in three color ways that all sold out within hours:

- Diamond Dust

- Mebounds

- Receipts Ready

Additional color ways include Tiago, planned for November 2025 and Charm City, on October 24, 2025.

Successful Launch

After Reebok’s decision to release the sneaker early, Angel suggested that they release three colorways at launch. The result? All three sold out on day 1, some within minutes. And, there was so much web traffic that Reebok’s website crashed.

Double-Double Queen

On the court, there aren’t many games where she doesn’t have double digit points and rebounds. She’s broken The W’s record for most rebounds in a season and her game is visibly improving every year. Don’t miss your opportunity to grab a pair of the Angel Reese 1 or any of the cool apparel pieces.
