Oct. 6 (UPI) -- British singer and Little Mix member Jade Thirwall has released a song for the BBC docuseries Blue Planet III.

Jade, 33, teamed up with famed composer Hans Zimmer on "Into the Deep (Seas Cry)," which debuted Tuesday on BBC Radio 1's Breakfast Show with Greg James ahead of its appearance in a new Blue Planet III trailer.

"Into the Deep (Seas Cry)" was co-written by Jade, Zimmer and Thom Lukas of Bleeding Fingers Music. The song is meant to provide "the perfect emotional backdrop" to the "footage and extraordinary stories at the heart of Blue Planet III."

Blue Planet III is the third installment of the BBC docuseries about the world's oceans narrated by David Attenborough. The show will premiere in the fall, following the original Blue Planet in 2001 and Blue Planet II in 2017.

"I've been a huge fan of Blue Planet for many years and have so many memories of watching the show throughout both childhood and adulthood. Sir David Attenborough is a true hero of mine," Jade said in a press release. "Being a part of Blue Planet III in this way feels incredibly special and a real privilege. I'm so proud of 'Into the Deep (Seas Cry)' and it was amazing to create it with Hans Zimmer and his team."

The BBC has previously collaborated with music artists Radiohead, Sia, Raye, Camila Cabello and Seventeen on songs for its natural history docuseries.
