'24 Jump Street' set for Dec. 10, 2027 release

The long-awaited "21 Jump Street" sequel, "24 Jump Street," is set for release Dec. 10, 2027, Sony Pictures has announced.

Oct. 1 (UPI) -- The long-awaited 21 Jump Street sequel, 24 Jump Street, is set for release Dec. 10, 2027, Sony Pictures has announced.

The follow-up to 2012's 21 Jump Street and its 2014 sequel 22 Jump Street, will once again star Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ice Cube.

The franchise sends up the cult-favorite 1980s TV cop drama that starred Johnny Depp, Peter DeLuise and Holly Robinson-Peete as baby-faced rookie officers who go undercover in high schools to solve crimes.

Sony also dated film-maker Ridley Scott's pirate adventure, Treasure Island, for Nov. 11, 2027.

The adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's book stars Hugh Jackman as Long John SIlver.

The studio's thriller, The Surgeon, starring Michelle Yeoh, is set for release on April 2, 2027 and Narcs, featuring Mason Thames, is expected to open Aug. 20, 2027.
