Lady Gaga Returns to the Dance Floor with “Chromatica”

Lady Gaga makes her grand return to the dance-pop tunes that garnered her 23.5 million worldwide record sales with the 2020 album “Chromatica,” produced by Bloodpop. After 2013’s “Artpop,” Gaga decided to stretch her legs a bit with the Tony Bennett collaborative album “Cheek to Cheek,” a stripped-down, singer-songwriter project called, “Joanne” and the soundtrack to the Academy Award-winning film, "A Star Is Born."

This time around, we’re treated to hard-hitting dance beats, retro synth grooves, and features from BLACKPINK, Ariana Grande and the legendary Sir Elton John.

Continue on to get all the details on Lady Gaga’s latest project.

The songs on Lady Gaga’s “Chromatica” are very introspective. The album begins with a dramatic instrumental intro that sets up the first song, “Alice,” where she sings, “My name isn’t Alice, but I’ll keep looking for Wonderland.” This message of persevering through life’s obstacles set the tone for Gaga to delve into how she overcame her personal struggles to return to dance.

BLACKPINK, Ariana Grande and Elton John are all featured on “Chromatica.” In “Rain on Me,” Gaga and Ariana Grande reflect on the good things in life, especially when the world around them seems to be falling apart. Lady Gaga has always embraced people from different walks of life, and "Sour Candy" is the latest example of Gaga reaching out to artists of other cultures. The upbeat party song features the super popular, all-girl K-pop group BLACKPINK.
