"Maxton Hall," the hit German YA romance series based on the Mona Kasten novel "Save Me," will return for a third and final season on Prime Video.

Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Prime Video is giving a glimpse of Maxton Hall Season 3.

The streaming service shared a teaser trailer for the third and final season Thursday featuring Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung.

Maxton Hall - The World Between Us is a German YA romance series based on the Mona Kasten novel Save Me. The show follows the romance between classmates Ruby Bell (Herbig-Matten), a determined student on a scholarship, and the privileged James Beaufort (Hardun).

Season 3 returns viewers to Maxton Hall College after Ruby's suspension from the prep school in the Season 2 finale.

Ruby's "dream of going to Oxford is slipping away, but she refuses to give up. Together with James, they fight to prove her innocence. The closer they get to the truth, the more it threatens to tear everything apart. Friendships are tested and secrets they never expected come to light. In the end, they must decide -- is love enough?" an official synopsis reads.

Other returning cast members include Sonja Weiber (Lydia), Eidin Jalali (Graham), Ben Felipe (Cyril), Fedja van Huet (Mortimer), Runa Greiner (Ember), Justus Riesner (Alistair), Govinda Gabriel (Kesh), Andrea Guo (Lin), Frederic Balonier (Kieran), Eli Riccardi (Elaine) and Dagny Dewath (Ophelia).

Maxton Hall Season 3 premieres Dec. 9 on Prime Video.
