Burning Man is an annual late-summer event based around a set of principles meant to evoke a sense of extreme inclusivity and foster self-expression. Every year over 60,000 “burners” attend this week-long event held in Black Rock City - a temporary city erected every year in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.
The event features exhibits and performances from a variety of different people, from many different places. Since the organizers don’t commit to a single focus for the festival, there’s no real limit to the types of art you’ll encounter.
An event like this naturally makes for some super interesting photos. Check out some of the coolest scenes from Burning Man 2019. Part of a series.
