Yara Shahidi is the bright young star responsible for portraying Zoey Johnson in Freeform’s teen comedy “Grown-ish” and Emmy-nominated “Black-ish”. Since landing her first major film role alongside Eddie Murphy in “Imagine That”, Yara’s been super successful as a television and movie actress, a social activist and a student. She received a recommendation letter from Michelle Obama to attend Harvard University, where she was ultimately accepted. Yara also started Eighteen x 18 alongside media outlet NowThis to promote voting in the U.S. 2018 midterm elections.
