There's always been something magical about playing DnD in person. Capturing that sense of exploration in video games has felt impossible until now. Somehow, Baldur's Gate 3 has pulled it off and its popularity speaks for itself.

Tears of The Kingdom had humble beginnings. Not only did it have to follow Breath of The Wild, which was one of the most popular Zelda Games ever, but it was supposed to be a DLC for the aforementioned game. While it's still set in Hyrule, the ability to travel above and below the map makes the game feel truly expansive.

Diablo 4 feels like the game Diablo fans were waiting for. After a very long wait, Blizzard delivered on the big promises it made. Most notably, Diablo 4 is bigger than ever with a large map and open-world gameplay.

Cyberpunk 2077's release in 2020 was a disappointment, but developers committed to improving the game. Three years later, it's beloved by fans, and the Phantom Liberty DLC has reignited excitement. While it's technically not a whole new game, the DLC is substantial. There's a whole new area of the map, new story-lines, and several refinements to gameplay.

Street Fighter is the OG one-on-one fighting game. Shortly after the arcade game was released, it was ported to home computers. Decades later, the newest edition is also available on consoles with many new and familiar characters making an appearance.

Another remake from Capcom, Resident Evil 4 is an improved version of the 2005 release. Resident Evil remakes seem to be a roller-coaster for the company, as some do well while others disappoint. This remake, however, has done anything but disappoint.

Capcom doesn't have a monopoly on remaking great games, though. In February, Nintendo surprise-dropped a remastered version of the Retro Studios masterpiece: Metroid Prime. If any game deserved a remake, it's this one, and gamers are surely glad it exists.
